at no, or virtually no, cost. Another new wrinkle is free services. Now
you can use the Internet to make phone calls, hold meetings, check your

As with everything else in life that's free, there's a catch: You have to know where to find the good stuff. But don't worry: I've done the work for you. They range from the useful (sites that offer little-known Windows time-savers) to the downright silly (a free screen saver of an artificial log burning in a fireplace). You'll find picks for the best shareware libraries on the Net, and the best programs to download once you get there. You'll also find the top sites for graphics and fonts, e-mail and Web tools, business directories, government advice, general trivia, and much more.
